Dezawa MuseCells® are unique repair cells found naturally in the body. Other stem cell types, such as embryonic stem cells and iPSCs, carry a risk of tumor formation, while traditional MSCs can show mixed results in potency and immune response. Dezawa MuseCells® are naturally pluripotent—not reprogrammed or genetically modified.
In both preclinical and clinical settings, Dezawa MuseCells® have not shown evidence of tumor formation, even under conditions where other stem cell types may form tumors.* They have consistently demonstrated controlled differentiation and stable behavior, including under stress.
Unlike embryonic stem cells or iPSCs, Dezawa MuseCells® have not exhibited the unregulated or undifferentiated growth patterns linked with tumorigenic risk in published studies to date.
